Horse Sport Ireland has announced the Team Ireland Equestrian showjumping squad that will travel to Lummen, Belgium, this week for the first round of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Series 2015.

Ireland has nominated Lummen (BEL), La Baule (FRA), St Gallen (SUI) and Dublin (IRL) as the four legs of the Series that they will use to gain points. Lummen this weekend will be the first of these important four legs.

The squad from which Irish Showjumping Team Manager, Robert Splaine, will pick his team of four, is listed below in alphabetical order:

Shane Breen – Golden Hawk

Greg Broderick – MHS Going Global (ISH)

Cameron Hanley – Living The Dream

Denis Lynch – Abbervail Van Het Dingeshof

Billy Twomey – Diaghilev or Lizziemary

Speaking on the announcement, Robert Splaine, said: “Lummen, which was allocated to us as the first leg of the 2015 Furusiyya FEI Nations’ Cup Series, will be a huge task, and a big challenge to us as the first of our four points-scoring competitions.”

The Nations Cup class will take place on Friday at 3pm Irish time.
