**Eligibility for competing under the current level 5 restrictions **

Showjumping Ireland has sought clarification from Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) for competitions under the current level 5 restrictions.
Events in level 5 are strictly to cater for professional sport horse athletes & producers, high performance and/or sport horse athletes and individuals who participate within professional competitions. All of the above must be over 18 years of age to compete or enter in horse events..

  NO YOUTH ATHLETES 18 OR UNDER AS PER SJI JUNIOR CATEGORY NATIONAL RULES (PROFESSIONAL OR OTHERWISE) WILL BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE

1N. 1.1 JUNIORS

DAFM has categorically stated that there is to be NO youth activity in Level 5. This decision is unequivocal but will be reviewed on the 5th of March by DAFM.
