This week end sees the start of the HSI Connolly’s RED MILLS Spring Tour at Cavan Equestrian.  We are fortunate this year to have three sponsors on board for the Tour: Horse Sport Ireland, Connolly’s RED MILLS & the Showjumper’s Club. 

 The club wishes to thank all the  local sponsor for sponsoring the 16 legs of the tour. The showjumpers’s club top up each leg with 1000 euro and they, also, sponsor the Best Turned Out horse on the day and  Winning owner’s prize.

There is €50,000 on offer over the 12 weeks jumping and some of the legs can be viewed on Irish Sport TV (Thank you Lar Sutton).

This week end, also, see the departure of one of the biggest supporters of the Spring Tour, John Sheridan from Showjumping Ireland.   His invaluable support and help through out the years since the start of the Spring Tour is very much appreciated by all the club members. We wish John every success in his new career.  A big thank you to  Showjumping Ireland for allowing John to facilitate   the Tour and our annual Awards Ball each year.

A bonus Prize fund is on offer this year to the top 7 & 8 year old horses – €2000 sponsored by Castlefield Sporthorses from  Co. Kilkenny.  Horses will double clear will get 3 points with an added bonus of 1st- 3 pts, 2nd- 2 pts, 3rd- 1 pt.  The best results over 9 legs of the tour will count.
