Since 1998 The Showjumpers Club (SJC) has been the unified voice of riders and the supporters of the sport of Showjumping. Many useful initiatives have been undertaken, such as liaison with Horse Sport Ireland, The Royal Dublin Society and Showjumping Ireland where SJC has representation.

cian o connor dublin horse show photo by Laurence dunne Jumpinaction.netThe SJC committee review at every meeting, issues relating to national competitions, international affairs and other matters of concern.  It is composed of riders and supporters who each act entirely in a voluntary capacity for the development of Showjumping both nationally and internationally. It is responsible for the organisation and co-ordination of the annual Spring Tour, the Annual Awards Ball, Meetings, Seminars and Open Forums. It is important to note that 100% of the funds raised go back into the sport to support all these activities.

Awards Ball – We hold our Annual Awards Ball at the Killashee House Hotel where Showjumping National & International success is celebrated.

The Spring Tour, which was initiated in 2005 has grown to be an important series in the Showjumping calendar.  It has provided the opportunity for competitors to jump their horses earlier in the season, for young riders to ease into senior competition. This year the SJC are delighted to haveTRM as joint title sponsor with the Showjumper’s Club of the 2021 Spring Tour and they are supported by TRI as our sponsors of the Working Producers section this season. Jumpinaction.net will continue as much valued supporters of the Tour.

Working Producers is a new section of the Tour which caters for riders 21 years old and upwards that do not work in the industry but are working  and producing horses part timre.

 

Equine Hedge School -2017  Equine Hedge School which is kindly supported by Connolly’s Red Mills/The Showjumper’s Club and media partner “The Irish Field! and it was a great success.  If anyone has a good idea about a subject for 2017 Hedge School, please let us know.
