Killossery Lodge Stud hosted this week end’s two day show with high numbers competing. The weekend courses were built by International Course Designer Frank Glynn who produced some excellent jumping for the spectators.
The 5th leg of the Showjumper’s Club Spring Tour claimed 61 combinations, all competing for the Prize Fund of 2000 euro which was sponsored by the Larkin Brothers International. 18 combinations went into the jump off. The Larkin Brothers run their own Stud just over the border in Co. Meath.
Luke Garrigan, who is a member of this Young Rider’s Academy, competing in his own County of Dublin, took the jump off by storm beating Cathal Daniel’s on Michelle Nelson’s Dartans Quality Brigade into second place by .38 of a second. Luke was riding his own very consistent showjumper, MHS La Scala to a clear round in the jump off in a time of 33.70. Luke also took the top Young Rider Award sponsored by Botanica International on the day.
Luke was also the Leading Young Rider at Killossery. This prize is kindly sponsored by Botanica International. |
The Leading Pro am Award, which is sponsored by Equijump, went to Jamie Garland on Zedleppan
