Nineteen year-old Bertram Allen from Co Wexford and the grey mare Molly Molone V, beat off the challenge of a host of the world’s top horses and riders, to win the prestigious Longines Grand Prix at the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show this afternoon (Sunday). Allen and Molly Malone were the only Irish combination to make it through to the eight horse jump-off, and set what proved to be the fastest time of the final round to the delight of the home crowd.  Bertram Allen, who had shown form earlier this week with his clear round in the Aga Khan Trophy, also with Molly Malone, picked up the winner’s cheque of 66,000 euro with world number five Kent Farrington from the United States finishing as runner-up with Uceko.  ENDS
