The Ladycastle Syndicate owned Vimminka won the final leg of the Horseware/TRM Premier Series in style at Coilog last month and again came out on top to take the second leg of the Gain/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League. Butler also steered the 8 year old Hallowberry Cruz, a stallion by Cruising into second place.
Young Rider Sophie Dalm with Amanda Dalm’s Vaillant S came in third in the class, a repeat of her placing at Ravensdale in the first leg at Ravensdale. Neal Fearon with Ivor Broderick’s 7 year old KMS Clintland took fourth while Edward Doyle also achieved his second placing of the league with the Touchdown Stallion Mullaghdrin Touch the Stars.
During an action packed few days at Cavan Lt David Power & Carrigoran won the Snaffles Bar Derby on Friday night, Jordan Coyle riding Jim Maneelys Lakeview Magic was the winner if the 1.25m All Ireland Speed Championship sponsored by Botanica while Peter Smyth riding Nigel Kenny’s Corrib House the winner of the 1.35m Jump Off Class. Nicola Fitzgibbons riding Dermott Fordes Shantonagh won the 6 & 7 year old Hankook Cavan Classic Final, while Greg Broderick riding his own Cartouche V Overis Z was the winner of the 5 year old Cavan Crystal Hotel Classic Final.
Mayo’s Michael Duffy won the Michael Meller Style Award 2014 while Sheikh Samir Mirdad was leading rider at the Cavan Indoor Championship 2014. The leading rider prize was kindly sponsored by Silver Shadow Solariums
The GAIN/Alltech Autumn Grand Prix League now moves to Kernan’s Equestrian Centre in Crossmaglen for the third leg on Sunday 5th October.
